John Digweed, the iconic British DJ, was hospitalized in late September, leading to the cancellation of several shows. On 28th September, his management shared the news via Instagram, revealing that Digweed was seriously ill and currently receiving hospital treatment. The post expressed regret over the cancellations of his scheduled performances in Guadalajara, Mexico City, and Dallas. Fans were asked to send their well wishes for his speedy recovery.

No specific details about his illness were shared, but the announcement prompted an outpouring of support from the electronic music community. DJs like Danny Howells, Hernán Cattáneo, Nick Muir, and Sasha – who was set to perform alongside Digweed – sent messages of encouragement.

A pioneer of the progressive house scene, John Digweed has left an indelible mark on electronic music. His contributions have earned him a place in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll numerous times, even topping the list in 2001. The electronic music world continues to send its support to Digweed as he recovers.

The man’s been at it for decades, and fans know what he brings to the decks every time. Back in July, Sinca dropped a wicked remix of Digweed and Nick Muir’s track, "Santiago," keeping that classic progressive house sound alive.
