Around 20,000 people surged Nevada's Black Rock City to enjoy the famous "Burning Man Festival 2021" over the weekend. The festival drew thousands of ravers including celebrity guests Diplo and Paris Hilton, although it pissed off locals of Nevada and law enforcement authorities amid COVID-19.
The renowned festival was called off due to the pandemic for the second time this year, but the revellers still swarmed through the Desert to celebrate the annual event. This year's event was unofficial and the burners arranged their own "Renegade Burning Man Festival" after Labor Day.
Burning Man pissed off the Pershing County sheriff, Jerry Allen, who told the newspaper that there have been 3 arrests and several accidents during the festival including a dune buggy accident on the event's first night. The revellers did not follow the SOP's and didn't bother to practise social distancing and mask-wearing.
The festival was attended by Diplo and Paris Hilton who took to Instagram and posted about the event on their socials. Diplo played a sunrise party at the well-heeled camp Robot Heart, where clearly no COVID safety protocols were observed.
Check out what Diplo has to say about his sunrise three-hour performance here. He mentioned famous creatives like DJ Tennis, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, and DJ Lee Burridge in his Instagram post saying that they are the "Real Kings"
