Organizers of the week-long celebration of creativity and radical self-expression have called off the physical event in the Nevada desert due to COVID concerns. They have replicated it with a Virtual Burn Week which ends next Tuesday i.e. September 7th. You can experience the 35-year-old desert gathering through Virtual Reality Headset at your comfort zone, thanks to a team BRCvr.
The renegade Burning Man could be attended by 20,000 people over Labor Day weekend as compared to 80,000 at the in-person event held in 2019. Several thousand ravers attended "Not Burning Man" last year due to COVID. But this time, the festival promises a much-improved experience from last year’s virtual event, which was thrown together in a month and led to confusion with some participants unable to figure out how to enter the various digital worlds.
This sensational festival is organized by groups including Black Rock Plan B, Playa Poop Protocol, Unity 2021 Free Burn, RenegadeBurn, Renegade Man, and Rogue Burn.
The event has become so famous in recent years that it’s drawn top-tier celebrities, including billionaires from the worlds of finance and tech including, Paris Hilton, Diplo, Gorgon City, DJ Alok, Katy Perry, Elon Musk, Will Smith, Mark Zuckerberg, and Susan Sarandon etc.
