All those who had been in Panama for 14 days were allowed to leave. Shuttles were allowed to exit. But then, they were not allowed too. Passports of some people were confiscated by the government as well.
UK Embassy sent their shuttles to recover their nationals from the Festival to a safer place i.e. Panama City. But they were not allowed to return back to their country.
VICE TV tweeted: "People are trapped in a quarantined psytrance festival on a beach in Panama. This is now the last festival on earth"
Peter Grant aka "Chippy" (one of the stranded spectator) said: "When I got here, I didn't know what the coronavirus was. And then maybe about two weeks later, some of the crew members came through there with the thinking of coronavirus"
Hannah Bates - Wellness Area Manager of Tribal Gathering narrated: "Everyone on site was called to the main stage where we were told that if you have been on event site or in Panama for less than 14 days, then you have to remain on event site and then you could leave after that."
